Learning is a Journey

I truly believe that education is a journey that goes beyond the classroom. In the past four years, I have traveled abroad to 30 countries, gaining exposure to their culture and history.

This has enhanced my ability as an educator, as it has given me a deeper understanding of history, geography, and diversity on an intellectual and physical level that is invaluable to the field of education; especially in the students’ more connected, globalized world. This experience also allows real-life explanations in the classroom, by showing the students how history is real and present in our daily lives, and continues to change and shape our world.
